Laura and I recently got to celebrate our 11th anniversary in Sunriver and Bend, Oregon. We had a wonderful time looking back on 11 years of marriage in which the Lord saw us through both the good and bad times, reminding us every step of the way of our utter dependence on his mercy and grace.
We had the privilege of spending some time with our good friends, the Benningtons. Robert and Holly have come to mean so much to Laura and I over the 2 1/2 years we've known them. We consider them "true friends" in Christ.
Robert and I met at Emerald Bible Fellowship in a small men's group. Since that time, I've grown to love and respect Robert as a brother. There are no secrets we hide from each other, and that "accountability" aspect of our relationship is what makes it so special. We accept each other for exactly who we are, and "spur one another on to love and good deeds."
